On August 21, Adnan Z. Amin, Chairman of the World Energy Council, Honorary DirectorGeneral of the International Renewable Energy Agency and Chief Executive Officer of COP28, visited SGE's geothermal industry achievements in Xiongan New Area, Hebei Province. The tour covered the SGE Geothermal History Exhibition Hall, IDH Control Center, the integrated energy station project at the Xiongan Science and Innovation Center pilot-test base, as well as the geothermal “Centralized Production, Centralized Transmission, and Centralized Reinjection” comprehensive utilization project in Xiongan High-Speed Railway Zone.

Adnan Z. Amin fully recognized the achievements made by SGE over the past two decades. He noted that SGE has made positive progress in advancing large-scale development and utilization of geothermal energy and delivered tangible breakthroughs in traditional fossil fuel replacement. He expressed the hope that SGE would continue to engage in China-Icelandic geothermal cooperation, strengthen technological innovation and digitalintelligent empowerment, actively carry out international technical exchanges and industrial collaboration, translate its demonstration practices of the “geothermal+” integrated energy system into global geothermal development experience, and jointly contribute to global climate governance and sustainable development.
