On 5 February 2026, the 9^th meeting of the 3^rd Board of Directors of Sinopec Green Energy was held in the Xiong’an New Area. Chaired by Mr. Gao Xiaorong, Chairman, the meeting was attended by Vice Chairman Haukur Hardarson, H.E. Adnan Z. Amin and other directors in person.

The meeting noted that with, in 2025, shareholder support, the company had implemented the China-Icelandic Joint Statement and made good progress in geothermal technological innovation, industrial upgrading and market expansion.

In 2026, the company will celebrate its 20^th anniversary and follow the strategies of both shareholders to advance high-quality geothermal development. Mr. Gao Xiaorong outlined priorities including technological innovation, scaled expansion, demonstration projects and digitalisation to upgrade the industry. Mr. Hardarson commended the company’s achievements, noting that SGE has become the world’s largest medium-deep geothermal developer, and expressed confidence in deepening China-Iceland cooperation to support global renewable energy development.
