Geothermal Beneath the Earth to Ensure a Warm Winter SGE Officially Launches 2025-2026 Heating Season

November 15th marks the star of the heating season in northern China. This winter, SGE will continue to provide high-quality geothermal heating services. To ensure the stable and efficient operation of the 2025-2026 heating season, SGE has formulated a detailed heating supply safeguarding plan based on the actual conditions of each areas.

Comprehensive preparations have been made covering water and pressure checks, equipment maintenance, pipeline inspections, personnel training, emergency support and customer service, aiming to achieve heating supply with "zero issues". Currently, all SGE's branches are fully operational and ready for heating supply. This heating season, SGE will provide clean heating services to over 1 million households across the country.

SGE is actively advancing the digital and intelligent transformation of the geothermal industry. Its self-developed smart geothermal production, operation, and maintenance management platform, along with the heating operation guidance software system and intelligent inspection system, enables real-time monitoring of operational parameters like pressure, temperature and flowrates in the heating networks across various regions. It also allows for remote video inspection and regulation. The systems can intelligently generate daily heating strategies and automatically adjust heating temperatures, continuously improving the intelligent operation and maintenance system featuring "minimal or no on-site staffing + smart inspection." This effectively reduces energy consumption while ensuring stable heating in residents' homes.

This heating season, SGE has established an "online + offline" user service network. Introducing an AI-powered customer service for the first time, it provides instant responses with just a few taps from users for high-frequency inquiries such as heating bill payments, service suspension requests, and general business queries. The company has also implemented a real-time Q&A service within residential community groups. The nationwide unified customer service hotline "400-878-1234" is available 24/7, allowing users to enjoy online services without leaving their homes. Regarding offline services, each residential community is assigned a dedicated "Heating Steward" to ensure rapid response to repair requests, with the entire process completed within two hours.

As one of China's largest and most technologically advanced enterprises in the development and utilization of mid-to-deep geothermal energy, SGE serves over 50 cities (counties, districts) across provinces and municipalities including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Shandong and Sichuan. Its heating capacity reaches nearly 120 million square meters, with over 10 cities having a heating capacity exceeding one million square meters. Annually, such capacity is equivalent to reducing standard coal consumption by 1.8 million tons and cutting carbon dioxide emissions by 4.8 million tons, effectively decreasing fossil fuel consumption. On the path of green development, SGE continues to write more chapters of warmth and low-carbon commitment.
